On Tuesday night we had an international evening, this means each class throughout a couple weeks had to research 2 countries, make some traditional food and come up with a performance to share with the school all from those countries. Room one chose Italy and South Africa as our countries, we had about a week and a half to practice our performances and get ourselves ready. For Italy we did a traditional Italian dance and for South Africa we sang shosholoza, but we didn't finish there. We also did 2 Korean dances and our cultural elective performance. After we perfected our dances we tried out doing some traditional art and drawing our own Mona Lisa. The night quickly rolled around, we ate a lot of delicious food from all over the world and before I knew it we were up on stage with our last performance. This was really fun and I enjoyed seeing all of the effort being put into each performance!
I want to say a big thank you to all of the parents who made food and all of our teachers who put in a lot of time to help us with this!
