Improper Fractions

Improper fractions

Improper fractions are when the numerator (the top number) is bigger than the denominator (the bottom number) for example

7/2 seven is the numerator and two is the denominator to fix this and make it a proper fraction you divide the numerator by the denominator here is how i would work it out!

7÷2= 3 with a remainder of 1 so the answer is

7 1/2

  1. Hi Chelo,

Thank you for sharing your work to the blog. I like how your explanation is very clear which means it is easy to understand.

I wonder, how could you make it so it is more eye catching? Could you add a screencastify of you explaining or have images that support your explanation?

What is the fraction you have created at the end of your post?
