Mary
Mary is typically drawn in a white and blue outfit because…
Blue was specifically difficult to make, if you had any blue dye or blue clothing you would be seen as a wealthy and or rich person. So they would do this in order to show that she was rich in love and kindness.
Mary grew up in a town in Nazareth, Galilee, with her mother Anne and her father Joachim.
When one day an angel appeared in front of Mary. He told her that God had chosen her to be the mother of his son, the one that will save all humanity and relieve us from sin. Mary accepted his offer and quickly went home to tell her husband about what had happened.
When Jesus was born Mary would care for and try to protect her son, she did this very well but she could not save him from everything.
When Jesus was condemned to death and nailed to the cross, Mary accepted that it was part of what God had said that he would do to relieve us from any sinful behaviour, so she stood by Jesus even during his lowest points.
Because of the never ending love that Mary had for Jesus he allowed her to ascend into heaven body and soul.
And allowed us to see her as our own mother as well.
Because of her love and acceptance she was blessed and blessed us as well.
In room 1 we've been looking at Mary and how she played one of the biggest roles in Jesus' life and our's.

In room one we have been learning about spiritual places and we had to choose a place from a list, so I chose the Dead Sea. I hope you enjoy please leave a Positive, Thoughtful and Helpful comment!

The Dead Sea.

Why is it called the Dead Sea?
Because of the seas high salt quantities that stop microscopic aquatic organisms such as fish and marine plants.

It is nearly impossible to swim in the Dead Sea.
Most people float on the surface of the water because of the high salt capacity of the water
A half-hour drive from Jerusalem, the Dead Sea is actually a large lake. 48 miles long and 11 miles across.
It is the lowest spot on earth, 1290 feet below sea level it is also the saltiest body of water in the world. At the Dead Sea you are likely to feel more energised because of the higher concentrated oxygen levels. Recently, the Dead Sea has been reduced in size by approximately 700 million cubic meters.

The Dead Sea is also connected to the Jordan river which is a baptismal site. The Dead Sea is a place where many people go, one of the reasons people go to the Dead Sea is because of the rumoured healing properties for example the black mud which said to heal skin diseases, maladies and arthritis.

This is my drawing of the dead sea that i made on google drawings

Thanks for reading.
